Intuitive Surgical获得FDA对弯型血管闭合器的批准

- Intuitive Surgical (NASDAQ:ISRG) announced on Thursday that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has greenlighted its Vessel Sealer Curved electrosurgical instrument.
- Accordingly, Vessel Sealer Curved will be available for use with the company’s multiport da Vinci systems in the U.S. to perform certain surgical functions involving tissue as well as blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, and tissue bundles that fit within the instrument’s jaws. However, it is not indicated for certain sterilization procedures.
- The approval marked the first of Intuitive Surgical’s (NASDAQ:ISRG) energy instruments to receive FDA clearance for the transection of lymphatic vessels, the company said.
- “We designed Vessel Sealer Curved to give surgeons greater precision in narrow anatomical spaces,” noted Iman Jeddi, senior vice president and general manager for Intuitive’s (NASDAQ:ISRG) da Vinci platforms & product operations.
