Golf Legend Miguel Ángel Jiménez Wins with Newton Shaft, Signs Deal with Up-and-Coming Tech Golf Brand

NEWTON GOLF Company (NASDAQ:NWTG) ("NEWTON GOLF" or the "Company"), a technology-forward golf company with a growing portfolio of golf products—including putters, golf shafts, golf grips, and other golf-related accessories—announced today that Miguel Ángel Jiménez, one of the most accomplished players on the PGA TOUR champions, has officially signed with the brand and will play its shaft technology moving forward. The multi-time Tour winner validated the partnership immediately by capturing a victory at the Principal Charity Classic using the Newton Fast Motion shaft, introduced in April 2025. 

Jimenéz secured his 16th PGA TOUR Champions title with a birdie on the first sudden-death playoff hole, marking the second professional Tour win for the Newton Motion shaft brand. His powerful performance at the 6,833-yard Wakonda Club course in Des Moines, Iowa, included a 310-yard longest drive and a 298-yard average—highlighting the shaft's elite blend of stability, straightness and control. The win also follows Doug Barron's 2024 major victory at the Regions Tradition, reinforcing Newton's growing impact across professional tours.

One of the most decorated and charismatic figures in professional golf, Jiménez has tallied 44 global victories across the PGA TOUR Champions, DP World Tour and other international events. He is a four-time Ryder Cup team member for Europe and remains a dominant force on Tour in 2025, currently leading the PGA TOUR Champions money list.
