SoundHound AI (NASDAQ:SOUN) faces a class action lawsuit over alleged "false, misleading and potentially damaging statements" regarding the company's business opportunities.
Law firm Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz LLP announced yesterday a lawsuit on behalf of people and entities who purchased or otherwise acquired SoundHound securities between May 10, 2024, and March 3, 2025.
The alleged statements include unvalidated claims about SoundHound AI's status, capabilities, and prospects.
On March 4, the company had disclosed a delay in the filing of its 10-K annual report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2024. The company said it has identified material weaknesses in its internal control over financial reporting.
On March 11, SoundHound filed its 10-K, allegedly disclosing for the first time that the lack of effective controls was impairing its ability to account for corporate acquisitions.
