卡特彼勒自动驾驶卡车将配备Luminar的激光雷达

- Caterpillar (CAT) off-highway, autonomous trucks will now be equipped with Light Detection and Ranging (“LiDAR”) technology thanks to a collaboration with Luminar Technologies (NASDAQ:LAZR).
- By using light in the form of a pulsed laser, LiDAR is used for navigation and obstacle detection in autonomous vehicles.
- The Luminar (NASDAQ:LAZR) LiDAR technology will be integrated into Cat Command for quarry and aggregate equipment. The Cat off-highway truck will feature two Iris LiDAR with an integration system designed exclusively for Caterpillar (CAT).
- “This new partnership with Caterpillar, the global leader in industrial equipment, has the opportunity to be a spearhead for next industrial revolution of automation,” said Luminar founder and CEO Austin Russell.
- Luminar (NASDAQ:LAZR) shares were launched higher on the news, up more than 17%.
