Monday - February 17

  • All day - The U.S. markets will be closed for observance of the President's Day holiday.
  • All day - The Chicago Auto Show will wrap up with interactive elements and activation events, including test drives. Electric vehicle makers will have a heavy presence at the auto show, including Polestar (PSNY) with the Polestar 3, Rivian Automotive (RIVN) with the R1T and R1 models, VinFast Automotive (VFS) with the VF8, Volkswagen (OTCPK:VWAGY) with the ID.4 and ID.Buzz models, and a rare auto show appearance for Tesla (TSLA) with the Cybertruck on display.

 

Tuesday - February 18

  • Volatility watch - MicroCloud Hologram (HOLO) and Faraday Future Intelligent Electric (FFIE) have a high level of implied volatility based on options trading. Medical Properties Trust (MPW) and Kohl's (KSS) head into the new week with a high level of short interest outstanding on them. The most overbought stocks per their 14-day relative strength index include Firefly Neuroscience (AIFF), Anteris Technologies Global (AVR), and Triumph Group (TGI). The most oversold stocks per their 14-day Relative Strength Index include Venture Global (VG), Columbus McKinnon (CMCO), and Brazil Potash (GRO).
  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include Arista Networks (ANET), Medtronic (MDT), and Baidu (BIDU). Options trading implies a double-digit share price swing for Bumble (BMBL) and Iqiyi (IQ) after their reports.
  • All day - Notable investor events include the Jacobs Solutions' (J) Investor Day event.
  • All day - The CAGNY Conference will include presentations from Kraft Heinz (KHC), Hershey (HSY), General Mills (GIS), and Coca-Cola (KO).
  • All day - Shareholders with Discover Financial (DFS) and Capital One (COF) will vote on the pending mega-merger between the banking giants.
  • All day - The three-day CoinDesk Consensus Hong Kong event will begin. The crypto conference marks the first expansion of the Consensus event series beyond North America.
  • All day - The quiet period ends on Venture Global (VG) to free up analysts to issue ratings.
  • 10:20 a.m. San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank President Mary Daly speaks and participates in a moderated discussion before the 2025 Conference for Community Bankers hosted by the American Bankers Association.

 

Wednesday - February 19

  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include Analog Devices (ADI), Toast (TOST), and HSBC (HSBC). Options trading implies a double-digit share price swing for Carvana (CVNA) and Etsy (ETSY) after their reports.
  • All day - The CAGNY Conference will include presentations from PepsiCo (PEP), Altria (MO), Molson Coors (TAP), and Philip Morris International (PM).
  • All day - Notable investor events include BrightView Holdings' (BV) Investor Day and Lam Research's (LRCX) Investor Day.
  • All day - Anbio Biotechnology (NNNN) is expected to start trading after the company prices its IPO.
  • 12:00 p.m. Apple (AAPL) will announce the launch of a new product at a launch event. The announcement is expected to be conducted through a press release and promotional materials rather than a live-streamed keynote. A fourth-generation iPhone SE is widely expected to be featured at the event, although there is speculation about a new MacBook Air, new iPad Air, or a surprise reveal.
  • 7:30 a.m. JetBlue Airways Corporation (JBLU) will participate in a fireside chat at the Barclays 42nd Annual Industrial Select Conference.
  • 11:35 a.m United Airlines (UAL) will present at the Barclays Industrial Select Conference.
  • 2:00 p.m. The Federal Open Market Committee will issue minutes of its latest meeting.

 

Thursday - February 20

  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include Walmart (WMT), Alibaba (BABA), Booking Holdings (BKNG), MercadoLibre (MELI), VICI Properties (VICI), and Block (XYZ). Options trading implies a double-digit share price swing for Rivian Automotive (RIVN) and Unity Software (U) after their reports are released.
  • All day - The CAGNY Conference will include presentations from Procter & Gamble (PG), US Foods (USFD), Diageo (DEO), and Clorox (CLX).
  • 8:00 a.m Walmart (WMT) will hold its earnings conference call. The retail giant's business updates have impacted shares of Target (TGT), Costco (COST), Dollar General (DG), Dollar Tree (DLTR), and Kroger (KR) in the past. Major suppliers with a strong post-earnings trading correlation with Walmart include Reynolds Consumer Products (REYN), TreeHouse Foods (THS), and Flower Foods (FLO).
  • 8:30 a.m Mobileye Global (MBLY) will present at the Barclays Industrial Select Conference.
  • 8:30 a.m The Philadelphia Federal Index report will be released.
  • 8:40 a.m Boeing (BA) CEO Kelly Ortberg will speak at the Barclays Industrial Select Conference.
  • 10:00 a.m Visa (V) will hold its Investor Day event.
  • 12:05 p.m St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank President Alberto Musalem will speak and participate in a moderated conversation on the U.S. economy and monetary policy before the Economic Club of New York.

 

Friday - February 21

  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include Vipshop (VIPS) and United States Cellular (USM).
  • All day - Global flash PMI reports will pour in.
  • All day - Sandisk (SDK) will start trading after being spun off from Western Digital (WDC). The business split will create two independent, publicly traded companies focused on different aspects of data storage technology.
  • All day - The CAGNY Conference will include presentations from Celsius Holdings (CELH) and Nestle (OTCPK:NSRGY).
  • All day - Apimeds Pharmaceuticals (APUS) is expected to start trading after the company prices its IPO.
  • 10:00 a.m. The Existing Home Sales report will be released by the National Association of Realtors.
