Cloudflare (NYSE:NET) was in focus on Thursday as investment firm TD Cowen has become more positive on the tech company, citing a number of reasons, including momentum building in artificial intelligence.
Shares fell 0.7% in premarket trading.
Cloudflare is growing its focus in the enterprise, as management has emphasized its focus in the space after revamping its go-to-market strategies and adding executives such as Mark Anderson, formerly of Palo Alto (PANW), CJ Desai, formerly of ServiceNow (NOW), and Stephanie Cohen, who used to work at Goldman Sachs (GS), TD Cowen analyst Shaul Eyal wrote in a note to clients.
In addition, Eyal, who raised his price target on Cloudflare to $130 from $110, noted the company is seeing a "shift" in customer AI discussions to inference from training, and it is seeing sizable ($7M) contract wins for Workers AI.
"We continue to view NET as a consistent 30% CAGR company targeting $5B in [annual recurring revenue] mid-term," Eyal added.
