Social media platform Reddit (NYSE:RDDT) announced new trends tools, "Ask Me Anything" with ads, and released its latest research report on conversations on its platform, among other things, at CES 2025.
At this year's CES, the company introduced Reddit Pro Trends, which it claims will allow businesses to see what people are saying about anything on the platform.
The company said within its new “Trends” tab on the Reddit Pro menu, businesses can now track any keyword or phrase—its brand name, product name, category, or even the latest viral trend—and see when, where, and how users are discussing it in real time.
Reddit said it introduced Ask Me Anything with ads, which will make it easier and more effective for users to discover AMAs hosted by businesses they are interested in. This will help promote AMA sessions directly from the ads manager and track the number of RSVPs received from the promotion, the company said.
It also released a research report that shows how Reddit conversations lead to business discovery, consideration of new brands, and purchase decisions.
Its research indicated that 42% of internet users find a Reddit recommendation "most influential" to their decision when making a purchase—more than expert reviews, influencers, and aggregated star ratings, among other things.
