- Westlake (NYSE:WLK) said on Monday that Jean-Marc Gilson has been appointed president and CEO.
- Gilson, most recently, served as president and CEO of Mitsubishi Chemical Group.
- Gilson succeeds Albert Chao, who will transition to become executive chairman of the board.
- Chairman James Chao will become senior chairman.
- The appointments are effective today.
- Gilson is also set to become president and CEO and a director of Westlake Chemical Partners GP, general partner of Westlake Chemical Partners (WLKP).
- Albert Chao will become executive chairman and James Chao is set to become senior chairman of Westlake Chemical Partners GP.
