贝尔德：Zscaler第三季度业绩可能会掩盖负面情绪

- Cybersecurity firm Zscaler (NASDAQ:ZS) is set to report fiscal third-quarter results next week, and investment firm Baird believes the release could counter the recent negative sentiment the company has experienced.
- "Sentiment turned sharply negative due to competitive concerns/PANW “platformization” drive and GTM disruption, but we believe ZS is poised to exceed low bar of expectations based on solid channel-feedback, Federal/SLED business," analyst Shrenik Kothari wrote in an investor note. "Recent AI-driven data protection announcements, including advanced threat prevention, bolsters competitive edge."
- Kothari has an Outperform rating on Zscaler but lowered his price target lower to $250 from $265 ahead of the results.
- Aside from Palo Alto Networks (PANW) “platformization” push, Zscaler has run into other perceived issues, including pushes from Microsoft (MSFT), Fortinet (FTNT) and Cloudflare (NET) into the secure access service edge market. The negative sentiment is "totally misplaced" Kothari said, as recent checks have shown that Zscaler's federal and SLED businesses have performed well.
- A consensus of analysts expect Zscaler to earn $0.65 per share on $536.09M in revenue.
