IPG Photonics names Mark Gitin as next CEO

- IPG Photonics (NASDAQ:IPGP) said it has appointed Mark Gitin as its next CEO, effective June 5, as Eugene Scherbakov steps down from the role.
- Scherbakov is a co-founder of IPGP and has spent three decades with the company.
- Gitin currently oversees the photonics solutions division at MKS Instruments.
- The company also said, it will continue to focus on executing its stated strategic objectives, including diversifying and growing revenue away from China, investing in emerging growth products and continuing to generate strong cash flow and value for stockholders.
