- Orchid Island Capital (NYSE:ORC) estimated Q1 GAAP EPS of $0.38, including an estimated $0.50 per share of net realized and unrealized gains on residential mortgage-backed securities and derivative instruments.
- The estimated GAAP EPS exceeded the -$0.06 consensus estimate, but declined from $0.52 in Q4 2023. Its EPS also more than covered the total dividends declared during the quarter of $0.36 per share.
- Estimated book value of $9.12 as of March 31, 2024, vs. $9.10 at Dec. 31, 2023.
- Estimated total return on equity for the quarter was 4.2%, down.
- Orchid Island Capital (ORC) stock rose 0.7% in Wednesday after-hours trading.
