高乐氏出售拉美子公司

2024-03-21 22:18

As part of its efforts to focus on its core businesses, Clorox (NYSE:CLX) has sold its operations in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay to a private equity fund and an investment group led by a former Clorox (CLX) executive.

Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

The sale includes Clorox Argentina’s two production facilities along with the rights to certain Clorox brands in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. It does not, however, include Clorox’s Latin America research and development corporate hub, employees of which will remain employed by Clorox Argentina under a new corporate structure.

“This transaction supports our IGNITE strategy and our commitment to evolve our portfolio to increase our focus on our core business to drive more consistent, profitable growth,” said CEO Linda Rendle.

According to Clorox, the Clorox Argentina business represents ~2% of the company’s 2024 net sales outlook. The company will incur a one-time, after-tax charge of ~$233M in Q3, representing a $1.87 reduction in EPS. For 2024, the transaction will reduce Clorox’s net sales growth by approximately half a point and EPS by $0.00 to $0.02 per share.

In its most recent quarterly report, the company said it expects 2024 net sales to be down by low single-digits and adjusted earnings to be between $5.30 to $5.50.
