01:41 PM EDT, 07/05/2022 (MT Newswires) -- Duddell Street Acquisition Corp. (DSAC) and information services provider FiscalNote Holdings said Tuesday that the US Securities and Exchange Commission declared Duddell Street's registration statement pertaining to its proposed merger effective.

This comes as FiscalNote expects to become publicly listed on the New York Stock Exchange as part of a business combination with Duddell Street that values the combined company at nearly $1.3 billion.

Duddell Street's shareholders are expected to vote on the proposed merger during an extraordinary general meeting due July 27.

The blank-check company has recommended the shareholders vote in favor of all proposals ahead of the meeting, with Duddell Street Acquisition's sponsor, Duddell Street Holdings, and other shareholders agreeing to vote in favor of all proposals.
