柯克兰湖黄金公司和罗杰斯公司在迂回湖矿推出5G网络

08:36 AM EST, 01/26/2022 (MT Newswires) -- Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. (KL.TO) said Wednesday that it teamed up with Rogers Business (RCI-B.TO) to launch a 5G wireless private network at the Detour Lake gold mine in Canada.

Kirkland said the mine is the first in Canada to be fully connected over a 5 G wireless private network.

The company will also build eight new wireless cell towers to cover more than 180 kilometers along Highway 652 between Cochrane, Ontario and Detour Lake, providing local communities with improved service reliability and close connectivity gaps.

Kirkland said the public network is almost all off-grid, with seven of the eight towers primarily powered by wind and solar energy. The network is planned to be completed and fully accessible by summer of 2022.
