Wells Fargo lifts Designer Brands (NYSE:DBI) to an Overweight rating from Equal Weight.

The firm sees gross margin tailwinds from Designer Brands' private-brand insourcing and points to easy comparisons ahead for the core business.

WF takes its price target on DBI to $20 from $16. The average sell-side price target on Designer Brands is $18.14.

Shares of Designer Brands areup 3.44%premarket to $16.25.
